Hello Charlotte Pride Band!

THANK YOU so much for those that were able to perform with us for the Charlotte Black Pride Expo!

I have heard nothing but good things about us being there to support and open up their program! I wanted to personally thank you all for being there and ready to demonstrate the things that make the Charlotte Pride Band a wonderful community organization! Let us use this momentum as we finish our July performances and move towards our major event, the Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade!

We WILL rehearse Sunday, July 30th! 

  • Rehearsal Time - 5:30-7:30pm - We will NOT have access to the church before 5:30pm

  • Color Guard - Please join us, as you will begin rehearsing as well!

Please make sure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes as we will be outside marching in preparation for the Charlotte Pride Parade! Also, make sure you have printed copies of music as we have flip folders for each instrument if you don't have one already!

Have access/printed copies to EVERYTHING in the Pep Band folder, except: High Hopes, Stadium Jams 9/11, Star Spangled Banner, and When the Saints. 

  • We will add: Take On Me

7/31/23 Equitable Diversity Summit Performance

  • 5:15 - Call time (Park at 101 West Brooklyn Village, Old Duke Energy Parking, now Wells Fargo] - only 15 parking passes available)

  • 5:20 - Walk together to Westin Hotel

  • 5:30 - Start performing outside the Westin

  • 5:45 - Lead the contingency to the Harvey B. Gantt museum/Perform as they enter the building

  • 6:05-6:10p - End Performance

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I access the music? On our band website, Click "Members", password is pride (all lowercase). 

  • When are rehearsals? Sundays 3p-5p

  • Is it fun? The music is fun, the people are fun, and the conductor is fun! 

Rehearsal Notes

  • Word Up- add a repeat between measures 33-37

  • Dont Stop- Start at measure 15

  • Born This Way- No repeats for marching

  • All tunes- add separation after ties and always listen for the melody voices! 

Season 14 Concert Band

Rehearsals start back on August 10th on Thursdays from 7-9pm to begin preparing for our September concerts at Festival in the Park and Park Road Baptist Church.
