THANK YOU for our fun rehearsal last night! We were able to get a lot done and I loved your energy! WELCOME to all of our wonderful new members! We are all very excited to welcome you to our CPB FAMILY!

To assist you in preparing for Thursday's rehearsal, I have listed the exact sections of each piece we will rehearse along with some details for you to focus on in yellow. Thank you in advance for your preparation for our rehearsal
I have also included several performance links to assist you in your preparation. As always, thank you for downloading and practicing your music prior to our rehearsals.
During our rehearsals, please take notes and bracket areas in your parts for you to practice prior to our next rehearsal.

7:00 - FRALEY - Chorale No. 3 - Irish Tune
7:05 - COPLAND/SINGLETON - The Promise of Living from "The Tenderland"
D to End - Write your vertical slashes in the measures that have tricky syncopated rhythms to best prepare. As some of you are playing in duple meter, others are playing in triple meter. Practice with your subdividing metronome as we discussed last night.

5th of A to F. Accidentals, dotted eights sixteenths versus quarter and eighths in six eight time.

49-81. Practice at quarter note equalling 100 to begin and go faster as your accuracy increases. Work on the accidentals, syncopated rhythms, write your vertical slashes, and practice with your subdividing metronome.

7:50 - SAINT SAËNS/FRACKENPOHL - Pas Redoublé
38-121. Practice at quarter note equals 80 and continue to increase the tempo as your accuracy improves. Make a bigger difference between the accented and staccato notes throughout. Crescendo through all sixteenth note passages to the last note of each run.

ALL - Make a bigger difference between accented and staccato notes throughout. Exaggerate all dynamic contrasts - especially the forte pianos. Make a bigger difference between the tenuto and staccato eighth notes throughout. At 35 - play lighter so the tempo does not drag. 51 - no rushing here. Release all ties on time throughout.
