CPB Weekly Update

THANK YOU for our AWESOME rehearsal Thursday night! We accomplished so much! Remember, we have a big surprise for you on Thursday that I think you'll LOVE! CAN'T WAIT!
We will now begin running longer sections of our works as we approach our performance. Thank you for taking the time to address the technical details you have prior to Thursday's rehearsal. Also, please remember to continue listening to the links below and take detailed notes in your music as you listen to be fully prepared as you practice for Thursday. I'm already super excited for our next rehearsal!!!

7:00 - FRALEY - Chorale No. 2 - EXPRESSION - Irish Tune
7:05 - COPLEY - Halcyon Hearts - O'Shae Best, Conductor
This is in one - set your mets to quarter = 180 so you can feel the 3 quarter notes per bar. Work on precision and exaggeration of phrasing and connecting all of the notes throughout.

Practice all flourishes and runs throughout the piece. Brass - practice sustaining your lines so they sound lush in the Parr Auditorium at CPCC. Set your met at quarter note = 60. CONNECT!
