CPB Weekly Update

Dear CPB!

THANK YOU for another great rehearsal this week! As I mentioned, O'Shae and I are having a BLAST making music with you! Our next rehearsal will feature sectionals led by our Liaisons. See below for sectional locations and for notes for the four works we would like you to focus on along with the areas your Liaisons are planning to rehearse as well. If time allows, please work on the other pieces afterward. Please work on these areas prior to Thursday so the sectionals are effective and fun.

Thank you ALL!

7:25 - HAMMER - Himalayan Peaks

  • WWs - Keep working on the sextuplets. Start with a metronome at 50bpm and change the articulation. Mark lines where the 8th notes would occur for easier practice.

  • 9-13 - This will be felt in one - practice with your met at quarter note = 186

  • 13-15 - Feel this in two - accuracy of rhythm and consistency of pulse. Bring out the accents!

8:55 - move all chairs and stands back and reset the sanctuary
